If you are wondering about the best time to visit Dubai, the honest answer is: it depends on what you want from the trip. Dubai is a year-round city, but the difference between seasons shapes everything — from hotel prices to how long you can comfortably stay outdoors.
The cool season runs from November to March. Daytime temperatures sit between 24°C and 30°C, the sea is warm, and the evenings are genuinely pleasant. This is peak season for a reason — the Burj Khalifa, the malls and the beaches are all at their best, but hotels and attraction tickets are at their most expensive and busiest. Book at least six weeks ahead, especially for New Year and the Dubai Shopping Festival period.
The shoulder weeks of late October and early April are our favourite. The weather is still very good, flight prices drop noticeably, and you avoid both the peak-season crowds and the Ramadan scheduling shifts that can affect opening hours.
The hot season, May to September, is genuinely intense — regular highs above 40°C. That said, it is when indoor Dubai shines. Malls, ski slopes, aquariums and museums are air-conditioned to perfection, and hotels discount heavily, sometimes by 40% or more. If you can plan around early mornings and evenings, summer is the cheapest time to visit.
A quick month-by-month summary: December to February offers perfect weather but the highest prices. March and November balance good weather with moderate crowds. April and October are the smart-value months. June to August is for budget travellers who do not mind the heat.
Our rule of thumb for first-timers: come between mid-October and mid-April. For a return visit or a budget trip, the shoulder weeks are the smart pick. Whatever season you choose, book your desert safaris, yacht charters and observation deck tickets in advance — the best slots sell out in every season.
